Donna Wares Bio

I’m a writer and book editor who specializes in nonfiction projects, and an award-winning journalist who has worked at the Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register and Miami Herald. Since 2012, I have worked as Managing Editor at Entrepreneur Media.

My latest book is Santa Barbara and California’s Central Coast, an Explorer’s Guide published in January 2011. Read more here.

I’m also is the editor of the best-selling anthology My California: Journeys  by Great Writers and author of Great Escapes: Southern California. In 2009  I co-authored The Wonder Years: Portraits of Athletes Who Never Slow Down with Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Rick Rickman.
